Window Swap

I am obsessed with the view from my apartment. So when I stumbled across Window Swap, it was a no-brainer to sign up and upload some video to show it off. My first and second swaps are still in the review queue though.

There is so much to just stare out at. I’ve never lived anywhere that had a single thing worth looking out the window at, much less several. It’s the most relaxing thing ever. No matter where I look—up, down, left, right, foreground, background—there is something interesting to see. I spend a lot of time on my couch just appreciating it through the seasons.

I call the grass area Zoomie Field, because it’s hugely popular with dog walkers. The Pup Adventure Zone is partly fenced off—kind of a wild patch with overgrown weeds and dirt piles. It has a some spots where the netting is torn, and there are a few lucky dogs whose owners let them off-leash to go foraging around on their own for a few minutes before calling them back.

Sailboats galore:

And one of these days, I will catch a shot of my absolute favorite: the Chicago Rowing Foundation, gliding along in their racing shell, breaking the otherwise-still water early in the morning before the day has cranked to life.
